Cindy
presented a roster of the Colorado 911 Authority boards there were only 51 out
of the 64 counties. If anyone would
like a copy contact Cindy Cline or Sharon Clever (Secretary) for a copy.
Marion
did a recap from the January Meeting.
Cindy
also advised that through APCO – NENA that the Colorado Chapter is sending out
a survey to the 911 Authority Boards, on the survey would have some questions
that the State EMD Committee can use.
The
Complete Survey is not finished. It was decided to have the surveys from each
sector sent to Sharon so that a complete one can be presented to Chuck Vale at
the April 2nd meeting in Steamboat. On the Survey we would also show the different
businesses that provide EMD training and the cost, time, and all the
requirements.
Grant
Money: It was discussed again to attempt to get Grant monies to help maintain a
Database and pay for a person to set up the database and also to schedule
classes around the state. Someone
suggested having a class in each region of the state.
The
database would consider of all the providers, all instructors, and all training
groups.
It
was suggested to include a $5.00 charge to help defer the cost for the data base
person, i.e. mailings, certificates etc.
Jaci
will find out from her retact when the applications have to be in for the grant
money.
Millie
Miller and Jaci Marie Louise both have knowledge and may have the time to do
this.
Millie
is to retire in May from Longmont and Jaci is to retire end of March from Summit
County.
It
was suggested that we put an article in the APCO – NENA newsletter letting
others know when we meet and what exactly the committee is doing. Sharon will
put it together deadline is April 25th to be turned to into John or
Cindy.
Carl
will add the dates of the EMD meetings to the COLORADO APCO web site and any
classes.
It
was also discussed to go back to 1996 to put together the database. 1996 is when
the State advised of the problem with their main frame loosing our information.
We hope to have that information by May 17th meeting.
It was recommended that Mike Merrill be sent an e-mail invitation to the Meeting held in Steamboat on April 2nd. Sharon will send that out.
